Warangal: Rich tributes paid to Kaloji on birth anniversary

Warangal: The 107th birth anniversary of poet and freedom fighter Kaloji Narayana Rao has been celebrated across the erstwhile Warangal district on Thursday. People’s representatives, officials and others paid rich tributes to Kaloji who was also a prominent advocate of the separate State for Telangana. Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, Rajya Sabha member Banda Prakash, Mayor G Sudharani, Hanamkonda Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu, Warangal Collector B Gopi, GWMC Commissioner P Pravinya and others have paid rich tributes to Kaloji after by garlanding Kaloji’s statue at Kaloji centre (Nakkalagutta Chowrasta) in Hanamkonda.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Errabelli said that the rich history and culture of Telangana was explained to the masses by Kaloji through his writings. “We should feel proud that two prominent supporters of Telangana-Kaloji and Jayashankar- are sons of Warangal soil,” he added.
