Wait, Did Kangana Ranaut Just Support Use Of Firecrackers? Here’s Her Counter Solution

There is an old saying that goes, ‘where there is fire, there is smoke’.

If I were to tweak it a little, I’d probably change it to – ‘where there is fire, there is Kangana Ranaut’ because only seldom does it happen that there is a raging issue going on in the country without the Manikarnika actress pitching in her feisty two cents.

The National Award-winning actress gave a rather strong reaction to all the people who are demanding a ban on firecrackers with Diwali tomorrow.

Since Diwali is almost here, one major concern is the growing levels of pollution in the country due to the careless and incessant burning of firecrackers.

Not paying heed to the gravity and severity of the situation, where we’re already struggling with high levels of pollution, a lot of people decided to ask for a ban on crackers to avoid the situation getting worse.

However, what they did not anticipate was actress Kangana Ranaut’s subtle dig at them as she quite literally asked them to ‘walk the talk’, by walking to their offices instead of taking a car along.

This row was sparked after Kangana Ranaut shared a video on her Instagram stories where Sadhguru can be heard sharing his childhood memories of Diwali.

He goes on to talk about how he is looking forward to lighting firecrackers months before Diwali and would save some for later as well.

The Thalaivi actress commented on the video on her Insta story as she wrote, “He is the man who caused world record of green cover by planting millions of trees.” Further to this, she added, “Perfect answer to all Diwali environment activists walk to your office don’t use cars for three days,” to nullify the effect of bursting crackers. Because that is clearly more realistic…

If she keeps saying these irrational things, she will end up winning many more National Awards.https://t.co/voVERnp2bS

Her reaction has come hours after filmmaker Rhea Kapoor openly dismissed the use of firecrackers and wrote, “Bursting crackers is not only dated but grossly ignorant, inconsiderate and irresponsible. Stop doing it, it’s so 19-never.”

Earlier, states and union territories issued directives restricting the use of firecrackers in accordance with Supreme Court (SC) orders.

The apex court said on 29 October, that celebrations cannot be at the cost of citizens’ health. It further clarified that there is no complete ban on firecrackers and only those which contain barium salts were prohibited.
