Cash, gifts stolen from seniors in Franklin County

 

In two apparently related incidents, money and Christmas gifts were stolen from two elderly Franklin County residents.

The police said a man dressed in camouflage and a stocking mask entered a garage at the 5000 block of Greenvillage on Philadelphia Avenue in Greene

 

Township around 1 am by prying open a window, which led from the garage into the house.

When the 94-year-old resident confronted him, the suspect shoved the victim to the floor, and demanded his money and wallet.

 

The suspect fled the victim’s home with an undetermined amount of cash.

In a similar case around 3.30 am, the police believe the same suspect entered an 87-year-old woman’s home through her garage at the 5000 block of Main Street in Guilford Township, and took away cash as well as numerous items that had been purchased as Christmas presents
