‘Where Have I Seen You Before?’ Bumrah Gets Cheeky With Wife Sanjana Ganesan In ICC Interview

One of the latest dynamic couples from the cricketing world, Jasprit Bumrah and wife Sanjana Ganesan found themselves in an oddly pleasant situation ahead of the World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand for an ICC interview.

Ganesan, who is a television presenter and holds interviews, mostly in the realm of international cricket, got to ask some nostalgic questions to her husband, who will be leading the Indian bowling attack against the Blackcaps from Friday, 18th June.

However, before the interview could start, Bumrah could be seen finding his way to the set, and just after making it to the room with the lights and camera, the first person he spotted was obviously his wife, Sanjana. 

“Oh! Where have I seen you before?” Bumrah asked cheekily with a smile on his face as the two greeted each other and got the cricketer settled for the Q&A session on camera. 

Throughout the interview, it was interesting to see Bumrah let his guard down and be a lot more casual and comfortable than he usually is, simply because of having such a familiar face on the other side of the table.

Fans couldn’t help but notice how innocent and honest the 27-year-old looked throughout his time on camera:

In a segment they called “Insta-memories”, the pacer was expected to describe the moment in which a particular picture was taken which he had shared from his social media handles.

“This picture was taken after the 4th Test. I didn’t play that Test. We win that Test. Our third-stringed side was playing and we were a little skeptical about what was going to happen. But there was a lot of belief. All the youngsters stepped up. It’s a memorable Test, lot of happy days. We won the series in Australia, back-to-back, this was our second win,” he said while describing the photo in which he could be seen holding the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which his squad had earned after an epic contest against the Australians on foreign soil earlier this year.

One of the photographs selected was also from Bumrah’s marriage. “Who is there in this picture? I have seen this person before,” he said as the interviewer drew a big smile, albeit inside her mask. “It’s the best day of my life, it happened recently. As you are aware of the memories, it was the happiest day of my life,” Bumrah added.
