Watch: ‘What did that ball do?!’ – India seamer cleans up Aussie batter with ‘unplayable’ inswinger

Watch: India Women seamer Shikha Pandey produced a stunning dismissal in the ongoing series against Australia Women, sending back Alyssa Healy with a delivery that kicked back in sharply from a “sixth stump line” and crashed into the batter’s stumps.

The dismissal took place in the second T20I between the two sides at Carrara. Pandey, bowling her first over of the tour, delivered the second ball of the innings wide of the off-stump. The ball, pitched back of a length, swung in slightly, before hitting the surface and cutting back in sharply.

Healy could do little, and was beaten by the movement, with the ball cleaning up the stumps to give India their first wicket.

Pandey roared and jumped in celebration, even as the commentators tried to come up with the right words to describe the delivery, marvelling at how the delivery was pitched on the “sixth stump line” and managed to move back in enough to crash into the stumps.

It was Pandey’s only dismissal of the day, with Australia overcoming a middle-order collapse to clinch the chase.
