Watch: Rahul Chahar Misbehaves With Umpire Over LBW Call & Fans Want ‘Spoilt Brat’ Banned

BUY-SELL | HELP WANTED | MATRIMONIAL

Rahul Chahar was one of the stand-out performers for the Mumbai Indians last season which eventually, earned him a place in the Indian team.

The selectors were so impressed with his skills that they included him in India’s T20 World Cup squad ahead of much-experienced Yuzvendra Chahal.

But, as they say, time flies very quickly and nothing lasts forever. And at the moment, nothing describes Chahar’s predicament better.

His performance has dropped considerably and it has started to reflect in his on-field behaviour.

While most fans sympathise with the youngster for not getting enough opportunities during the T20 World Cup but looking at the way he misbehaved with the match official in South Africa, the fans are having second thoughts about him because with his behaviour he has let the whole Indian cricket community down.

All the best @rdchahar1 !

Chahar is part of India A squad that has travelled to South Africa for three unofficial Test matches.

After he was dropped from India’s T20 squad, most fans had hoped that he would use this tour to send a strong signal to the selectors by performing on the field but he has axed his own feet with his disgraceful behaviour.

Here’s the video:

During the first unofficial test match, the South African batters made short work of India’s bowling unit, declaring their first innings at 509/7. Chahar also bowled a miserable spell and ended as the most expensive bowler for the visitors.

It was a bad day in the office for most Indian bowlers but Chahar decided to vent out his frustration on the on-field umpire after he turned down his “double appeal” for leg before wicket.

Dissatisfied with the umpiring call, Chahar kept arguing with the match official and even threw his sunglasses on the ground in frustration.

More than his ordinary spell, it was his misbehaviour with the on-field umpire that made the fans angry and they ripped the spinner apart on social media, with some even calling him “spoilt brat”.

Rahul Chahar is a spoilt brat.

Rahul Chahar always does like this he should be banned in an international match for his attitude

— The Cricket Guy 27 (@TheCricketGuy27) November 24, 2021

Rahul Chahar has put on a horror show in the India A vs South Africa A game.

I think even today Amit Mishra will be a far better first class spinner than this guy, if he were fit enough to play.

Virat aggression is in his celebrations but not on someone’s face. He gives it back to some one only if the other person misbehaved. Rahul chahar literally beats the batsman with his barking behavior if the batsman had taken him for runs

— Just4Cricket (@GodLightTruth) November 26, 2021

Such an attitude guy with serious issues. When a batsman hits him for boundaries and then he gets him out, he literally barks and bites at him. Pity the selectors who found him as the better spinner for world cup and he went wicketless.

This was not the first time Chahar had lost his cool on the field. A couple of months back, he had made headlines after giving an angry send-off to RCB’s KS Bharat during an IPL 2021 group game.

Playing with aggression is one thing but that doesn’t mean you can disrespect your opponents or get into a misbehave with the match officials.

It’s the worst possible behaviour on the field and should not be tolerated, no matter who does it and with what intentions.
