Warangal: PhD awarded to KITSW faculty member Samisetty Sarika

Warangal: Samisetty Sarika, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), has been awarded PhD degree by the Osmania University (OU), Hyderabad.

In a press note here on Saturday, KITSW Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy said that S Sarika had submitted her PhD thesis titled “Financial Inclusion in India – A Study on Bank Financing to Self Help Groups in Warangal District, Telangana”. She did her research work under the supervision of Dr G Vidyasagar Rao, Department of Management, University College of Commerce & Business Management, Osmania University, Hyderabad.

“SHGs in Warangal district are contributing to the socio-economic development and social empowerment in rural areas. The study suggested that NABARD and APEX bodies have to initiate special measures for empowering vulnerable people in Warangal district to enhance financial inclusion,” the research revealed. KITSW Secretary and Correspondent V Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P Narayana Reddy, Head, Department of Management Dr V Nivedita Reddy, Associate Professor of Chemistry and PRO Dr D Prabhakara Chary and others have congratulated her on being awarded a PhD degree.
