Vibrant Tamil Nadu Expo and Summit in August

CHICAGO, IL – Vibrant Tamil Nadu Global Expo and Summit 2018, a first-of-its-kind expo focused on the food and beverages sector in Tamil Nadu, will be organized during August 12-15 at the grains yard in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.

It is supported by Make in India, DIPP and Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.

A two-hour roadshow for the same was held on May 11 at The Meadows Club, Rolling Meadows, IL under the auspices of NRI SEVA Foundation & Indian American Business Council.

The Vibrant Tamil Nadu 2018 is an initiative aims at unifying and synergizing the key players and solutions providers in the food sector. As the customers, manufacturers, researchers, technologists and innovators come over on the common platform to discuss, share, debate and celebrate the best of the food and beverages (F&B) industry.
Vibrant Tamil Nadu 2018 will be an international event with 200 exhibitors on a 25,000 square metres of exhibition space and is expected to attract around 500,000 visitors.

Tamil Nadu, with seven agro-climatic zones and varied soil types, is well suited for the production of fruits, vegetables, spices, plantation crops, flowers, medicinal and aromatic plants. The southern Indian state is one of the leading producers of bananas, flowers, tapioca, mango, coconut, groundnut, coffee, tea and sugarcane.

The expo will showcase large varieties of highly-innovative, value-added food products of Tamil Nadu ranging from rice, millets, coffee, tea, milk, milk products, grains, pulses, dry fruits, poultry products, fresh fruits and vegetables and many more food products.

The event will bring together all the stakeholders from “farm to fork” viz. farmers, food processors, manufacturers, traders, exporters and importers–both domestic and international–and consumers to a unique business platform.

The Vibrant Tamil Nadu summit will have knowledge sessions on various topics with domestic and global experts from the food industry sharing their insights on latest technological developments/innovations in agriculture, organized food & beverage sector, food processing, packaging, logistics, cold chain, cold storage and warehousing, branding and related subjects coupled with advanced production practices, preservation and marketing tactics.
