United Senior Pariwar, Chicago Celebrated 14th. Navratri Utsav

CHICAGO, IL – Saturday, on October 9th. 2021. Seniors of united senior Pariwar, Chicago. Celebrate 14th. Navratri Utsav in Niles park District hall, Niles. Due to covid-19, we could not celebrate Navratri Utsav in the year 2020 person but we celebrate online through zoom.

This year we follow CDC guidelines and perform the covid tests for all members and guests. We allowed only persons who get negative results. So our event was covid free event. Approx. 500 seniors and guests enjoy this evening by doing Garba and Raas with melody music of Garba and Raas by DJ Mehul Rami.

Secretary Ramesh Chokshi Welcome all seniors and guests, and announce that to day’s Navratri Utsav sponsor by Mrs. Pannaben Rohitbhai Joshi and Family from Nadiad, India and start with Maataji sthapna puja perform by Mrs. Pannaben Joshi and Family with Ramanbhai Patel ( President), Rohitbhai Joshi ( vice president), Kiritbhai Pandya( Treasurer), Ramesh Chokshi( Secretary) Kanubhai Patel( Joint-Secretary), and other committee members. Puja shlocks chanting by Acharya Prof. Rohitbhai Joshi.
Then Garba started t at 8:00 PM.  at 9:30 pm. Aarti performs by Mrs. Pannaben Joshi’s Family, All Committee members, and other 30 devotees.
After Aarti everyone enjoyed Raas, dance, sanedo with a very good rhythm of Gujarati Lok geet and Bollywood songs up to 11:30 night.
Snack and drinks in the food booth cater by Subhas Patel at a reasonable cost.
At this event, Mrs. Pannaben Joshi’s family donate $1000.00, and other small donations from devotees.

At the end, everyone enjoy prasad and snacks which were donated by the Patel brothers.
