TRS govt committed to welfare of dalits: Gundala Krishna

Khammam: The TRS government will always stand by the Dalits and extend all support in all possible ways, asserted senior TRS leader Gundala Krishna.

The decision to give a government job, a house to Mariyamma’s son Uday Kiran, Rs 15 lakh ex-gratia and a financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each for her daughters proves the Chief Minister’s pro-Dalit approach, Krishna noted.

Similarly, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, the district officials and local public representatives were directed to visit the village soon so that full justice could be done to the affected family, he said.

A Dalit Empowerment Scheme was being launched with a budget of Rs 1,000 crore for the welfare of Dalits, he added. The party SC Cell town president H Prasad, TRSKV town secretary, Barri Vinay Kumar, SC Cell organizing secretary Namavarapu Eshwar and others were present.
