Trinamool takes out protest rally against centre

Kolkata, Nov 25 (IANS) "According to the central government, we are all thieves. Arrest us immediately," said hundreds of placards, as West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee led a huge Trinamool Congress protest rally here against the NDA regime in wake of a party MP’s arrest in the Saradha scam.

Hitting the streets, Banerjee walked all of four kilometres from College Square to the Esplanade area in the company of senior Trinamool Congress leaders, Bengali film star Dev, and painter Jogen Chowdhury.

The agitators shouted slogans decrying the central government’s "conspiracy" against the Trinamool and the people of Bengal and held aloft placards asking the central government and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the Saradha scam, to "return people’s money".
