Kolkata, July 6 (IANS) Kolkata-based elder and home care start-up TriBeCa Care Pvt. Ltd, created by four NRI professionals, plans to expand its services to east and north India from early 2017.

The start up was set up in 2014 and is now launching its first rehabilitation clinic in the city

"We plan to branch out to tier 1 and tier 2 cities in east (such as in Bhubaneswar) and north India by early 2017. We need to raise Rs 40 to 50 crore by the end of this year," Prateep Sen, founder and co-CEO of the start-up, told the media here.

"By 2020 the company plans to create employment opportunities 10,000 care givers across the markets it is present in," said Sen.

The "out-of-hospital" venture has served over 5,000 families till date and has on its rosters numerous packages (starting at as low as Rs 250) with offerings such as 24/7 emergency helpline, doctor house calls, post-operative care, physiotherapy and speech therapy, nursing and personal care, depression counselling, dementia assessment, medical devices and ambulances.
