THE SHOW MUST GO ON

The design language for Amazon’s new smart display, Amazon Echo Show 10, borders on the quirky — a tab mounted on a smart speaker, but it’s super functional. Colours are vivid on the large 10.1-inch display (1280×800 pixels). The adaptive brightness feature is also very impressive. With two 1-inch, front-firing tweeters and a 3-inch woofer, the Echo Show 10 delivers incredible audio, and can double up as a party accessory. Aside from Alexa’s improved skills and growing intelligence, the Echo Show’s coolest trick is how it keeps up with you with AI-controlled swivel movements up to 350 degrees. Rs 24,999.

GO WITH THE FLOW

ASUS ROG Flow X13 is positioned as the world’s first convertible gaming laptop. This one’s perfect for the everyday corporate executive who needs a stylish, lightweight laptop by day that can morph into a gaming beast after hours. It weighs just 1.3 kg, and is slim enough (15.6 mm) to slip into your slimmest messenger bags. ASUS’ proprietary Ergo lift hinge allows the Flow X13 to swing from tablet to laptop mode in a flash. You can also opt for Tent mode to watch videos, or for video calls. The X13 is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 Octa-Core processor that combines 16GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage. Rs 1,39,990.

MONSTER BATTERY

The battle for the smartphone display has now come to the budget segment. Samsung Galaxy F22 is one of the cheapest smartphones you can grab with a Super AMOLED HD+ display and a 90Hz refresh rate. The colours are vibrant, and gaming is smooth on this 6.4- inch display (720×1600 pixels). This display is backed by a 6000 mAh battery that, Samsung claims, can deliver 25 hours of video playback. The F22 is kitted with a 13MP Selfie cam, and a rear quad-cam driven by a 48MP primary lens. Rs 12,499 onwards.

AURORA EFFECT

The OPPO Reno 6 Pro 5G is a showstopper. Part of that appeal stems from OPPO’s proprietary Reno Glow effect, with its ever-changing colour that looks different from different angles. It’s incredibly thin — just 7.6 mm and weighs under 180 gm despite a robust 4500 mAh battery under the hood. OPPO bundles its trademark 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charger, which takes the battery level from 0 to 100 per cent in 31 minutes. The 6.55-inch display (1080 x 2400 pixels) features a 90Hz refresh rate. The quad-cam has some cool tricks up its sleeve, including the Bokeh Flare Portrait video option. The Reno 6 Pro is propelled by a 5G ready MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset that gets a boost from a generous 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. Rs 39,990.

CINEMA COMES HOME

The Optoma CinemaX P2 projector is a great advert for an ultra-short-throw projector. An Ultra-short throw projector uses its reflector lens to spread out its light signal across a minimal distance. You don’t need more than 20 inches for a massive projection. This saves space, and allows you to cram your projector into the smallest living room spaces or dens. You get a full 4K, 8-million-pixel display with perfect pixel alignment. HDR10 compatibility renders vivid 4K UHD content; whites are brighter, while blacks are deeper. Optoma’s spec sheet pins the brightness at 3000 ANSI lumens with a 2,000,000:1 contrast. With a combined sound output of 40W, you won’t need to add a soundbar to the mix. Rs 4,99,999.

UNLEASH THE DJ IN YOU

Whether you’re a pro DJ or a serious audiophile, the Sennheiser HD 25 deserves your attention. These headphones offer the option of one-ear listening with an ultra-light form factor, making them perfect for DJs. The closed-back HD 25 are purpose-designed, professional monitoring headphones offering high attenuation of background noise. These headphones perform exceptionally well in loud environments. It is capable of handling very high sound pressure levels, and of extremely robust construction. The sound quality is terrific, and the lightweight construction ensures these headphones are just what you need for a long flight. Rs 18,990.
