Telangana’s IT revolution goes beyond Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Telangana is committed to take IT revolution beyond Hyderabad.

Khammam IT Tower was inaugurated and has 19 IT companies that are operating from the facility with a total built up space of 41,250 sqft and 430 seats. Construction of Phase II IT Tower, with an additional 570 seats has already started, said Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.

Telangana has already started an IT Tower and incubation centre with 1,400 seats capacity at Warangal. The facility is already operational with players like TechMahindra, Cyient and others operating from there. The facility is being expanded, he said.

He said an IT tower was recently inaugurated in Karimnagar with a total built-up space of 80,000 sqft and 556 seats hosting 18 IT companies.

This year, similar IT Tower projects will be taken up in Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad, Ramagundam, Siddipet and Nalgonda.

The Telangana Government has come up with Growth in Dispersion (GRID) policy with a view to promote dispersed growth across Hyderabad, he said.

• Construction of IT towers at Nizamabad (50,000 sqft), Mahbubnagar (60,000 sqft) nearing completion

• KCR laid foundation stone for IT tower at Siddipet (1,21,600 sqft)

• IT towers being built in Nalgonda (1,500 seats), Ramagundam (200 seats), Wanaparthy (250 seats)
