Telangana: Noted swimmer Rajiv Trivedi felicitated

Hyderabad: Noted swimmer and DGP Prisons Rajiv Trivedi was felicitated by Swaranjit Sen, former DGP and IG of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, during the opening ceremony of the Swim Exhibition events at Lanco Hills.

Rajiv Trivedi is the fastest swimmer of Palk Straight and also swam the English Channel. He still holds the record as the fastest swimmer at National Police Academy. Both Rajiv Trivedi and Swaranjit Sen, who himself is a sports lover and a former boxer and golf player, participated in an interactive session with the participants and young swimmers on the role of sports in our lives.

Treasurer, Swimming Federation of India, Ramakrishna and office bearers of Telangana State Swimming Association were also present at the event. They also distributed prizes to the victorious swimmers in the under-8, 11 and above 12 age categories.
