Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Bollywood movie, Pathan has been having a record-breaking run at the box-office. While the film crossed the 429 crore gross worldwide in 4 days, it is continuing its glorious run at the US box office in the first week of its release. Just on the fourth day of its release, Pathan hit the 100+ crore mark. The overseas gross on day 4 of the movie was 52 crore. Including the Indian, the figure of 53.25 crore netted the total collection on its fourth day to 116 crore gross.
In the US market, Pathan was able to make into the top 5 earners at the North America box office. It was able to fetch $5.9 million while showing in just 695 screens. Pathaan is also the fastest film in history to enter the Rs 200 cr club beating KGF 2 and Baahubali 2’s Hindi version.
Fans in the US are excited to be making the beeline for the cinema once again. Nisha Shah, a Niles resident in IL, caught the movie at the nearby AMC theatre. She says, “So happy to see the crowds returning back for a blockbuster. It is like pre-Covid days again. The film is total paisa vasool.”
Neeta Singh of Libertyville says, “It’s is a Top Gun style thriller. We loved seeing Shahrukh and Deepika. But John Abraham was a real surprise package.”
Fans also report from cinemas across the country that there is an air of excitement, people hadn’t seen in a couple of years.
