‘Sirf Naam Ka Nawab Hoon’, Saif Says His Mom Keeps The Shoot Money Made At Pataudi Palace

BUY-SELL | HELP WANTED | MATRIMONIAL

You could be a ‘Nawab’ or a commoner trying to pay your bills on time, but when it comes to listening and bowing down to your wonderful mother, everyone does it. And actor Saif Ali Khan is no different.

Being a successful actor, husband to one of the most successful actresses, and being the son of Tiger Pataudi has got nothing to do with him being a momma’s boy, like most guys out there.

When the cast of Bhoot Police appeared on Kapil Sharma’s show, he spoke about life post-Tandav, and the earnings around renting the majestic Pataudi Palace

In a newly released clip, Kapil asks Saif if he earned more as an actor from working in Tandav or more as a landlord from renting the palace for the shoot.

To everyone’s surprise, Saif hilariously quips that even though he earned from both sides, his mother took away the earnings that came from shooting the series over there.

“Meri maa le leti hai woh , main sirf naam ka Nawab hoon”, he laughs and the entire audience chimes in with him.

He then got into a funny banter with Archana Puran Singh and revealed how even though he might have a lot of money, he was still very simple at heart and like ordinary people, he too invested in an apartment to rent it out.

On asking if he gets pesky calls as a landlord, he shares that he used to cater to calls around taps not working and broken ceilings etc. While everyone laughed at his simplicity and honesty, Archana further questioned him as to why he was doing all this amidst shooting projects.

Saif then shared that he used to look into all the tenant problems himself until he found a manager to do the job.

His last Bollywood outing was with Bhoot Police which also starred Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles.

On the personal front, he welcomed his second child with his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, a baby boy named Jehangir.

The Pataudi Palace belongs to his family and besides being a private residence, it is often rented out for shoots to production houses.

Veer Zara was extensively shot here.
