PACOIMA, CA – Sikhs marked the 556th year of the Sikh religion at Khalsa Care Foundation on March 13.

Hundreds of Sikhs from the local area and beyond gathered to participate in the festivities, which included religious observances and a lavish spread of food and drinks. Renowned Ragis, or religious singers, performed hymns and delivered talks on the significance of the day. Attendees continuously filed into the Darbar Hall to pay their respects to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, while outside, volunteers served langar and sweetmeats to a steady stream of devotees.

The celebration commenced at 6 pm and continued uninterrupted until midnight, with attendees eagerly showering rose petals upon the Sri Guru Granth Sahib as a mark of reverence. As the event drew to a close, Ardas was recited to express gratitude to the Almighty for the abundance bestowed upon the congregation.
