US economy grows at 2.3% in third quarter
The US economy grew at 2.3% in the third quarter, the Commerce Department said on Wednesday. But prospects for a solid rebound going forward are being clouded by the rapid spread of the latest variant of the coronavirus. The third and final look at the performance of the GDP is up slightly from last month’s estimate of 2.1% third quarter growth. AP

Technology major HP on Wednesday announced local manufacturing of multiple PC products, including laptops in India. Powering the Make in India initiative of the Centre, HP has started manufacturing multiple models of laptops, desktop towers and mini desktops in Sriperumbudur near Chennai. PTI

Titan employee fined for insider trading
Markets regulator SEBI on Wednesday imposed a fine on an employee of Titan Company Ltd for violation of insider trading norms. The regulator had received a letter from Titan wherein the company intimated about violation of Prevention of Insider Trading regulations and the company’s code of conduct. PTI
