CHICAGO, IL
Chicago is opening a new mass vaccination site at the United Center. More than 110,000 shots will be given out starting next week through the end of March. Senior citizens age 65 and older will be able to apply for an appointment before other eligible residents. Seniors are invited to register starting TOMORROW (March 4) at 8:30 a.m. at Zocdoc.com/vaccine or by calling (312) 746-4835.

The seniors-only registration period will be available from March 4 at 8:30 a.m. until March 7 at 4 p.m. After that, registration will open to all residents who meet the current eligibility requirements.

There is no onsite registration. You must have an appointment. Go to Zocdoc.com/vaccine to register. If you cannot access the website, call (312) 746-4835. This hotline is open Monday – Saturday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (On Thursday, March 4 the hotline will open at 8:30 a.m.)

The City is partnering with Uber to offer free rides to residents who need help getting to their vaccine appointment. Uber is providing $40 ride credits to Chicagoans to get to and from the United Center. You will have an option to request transportation in your appointment confirmation email after you book through Zocdoc.

The Federally-run United Center site will be able to administer up to 6,000 doses per day in Chicago. This is additional vaccine and is not taken out of the City’s allotment.
