Satyavathi urges techies, employees to cooperate with Haritha Haram

Mahabubabad: Minister for Tribal, Women and Child Welfare Satyavathi Rathod has sought the cooperation of rural employees, IT, retired employees and public representatives to implement the Haritha Haram programme aimed at development of villages.

Addressing a preparatory meeting on the preparation of the implementation of the Palle Pragathi programme to be launched from July 1 here on Wednesday, she said that Palle Pragathi was a great opportunity provided by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to develop the villages.

She directed the officials to conduct Gram Sabha in each village to identify the needs of the village and to take them up and complete them within ten days during the programme.  “All the villagers should be involved in the meeting so as to develop the village by implementing the required works. The officials must submit a report on the needs of the each village by taking the opinion of the villagers,” the minister said, adding that the officials must visit the dalit colonies and study the conditions there, identify their needs and plan and implement to meet them.

“Incomplete Vaikunthadamas, dumping yards, and Palle Prakruthi Vanams should be completed immediately, and must be brought into use,” she said and reminded that the district was declared  as ‘Open Defecation Free (ODF)’ district. “We should all be proud of this. But we should also see that there are any issue in this regard,” she added. Stating that the Haritha Haram is the brainchild of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, she urged the  officials and people’s representatives to  make it a great success.

MP Maloth Kavitha, ZP chairperson Angothu Bindhu, MLAs Redya Naik, Banoth Shankar Naik, Haripriya Naik, Mahabubabad Municipal chairman Dr Palwai Rammohan Reddy, District Collector VP Gautham, Additional Collectors Abhilasha Abhinav, Abhishek Agastya and other officials and leaders attended the programme.
