Madrid, March 6: Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo and 21 other footballer from Real Madrid travelled on Monday to Naples for Tuesday's Champions League pre-quarterfinal second leg game against Napoli at the San Paolo stadium.

Ronaldo returned after some muscle issues, which caused him to miss his side's win over Eibar on Saturday. Welsh Gareth Bale also did not play in the Eibar game due to suspension, reports Efe.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane decided to take the whole team to Naples, except injured Portuguese Fabio Coentrao and French Raphael Varane, according to the club's official website.

The 22 players are Keylor Navas, Kiko Casilla, Ruben Yanez, Dani Carvajal, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Nacho, Danilo, Marcelo, Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez, Casemiro, Kovacic, Luca Modric, Marco Asensio, Isco, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Lucas Vazquez, Morata and Mariano.

Real Madrid did not exercise in their sports city before traveling to Italy, but will have a training session on Monday afternoon at the San Paolo stadium in Naples.

Real Madrid defeated Napoli 3-1 in the first leg match in Madrid.
