Rajasthan Bhavan mooted in Mumbai
Jaipur: Seventy five non-resident Rajasthanis participated in the fellowship program and interaction of the Mumbai chapter of the Rajasthan Foundation at the The Club Millennium in Juhu, Mumbai, under the chairmanship of the newly appointed Vice Chairman of the foundation, Rajiv Arora. Vinod Ajmera, Executive Director of the Rajasthan Foundation, briefed the audience about their functions and objectives.
Rajiv Arora said that by the CM’s efforts, Rajasthanis living outside the State and the country were getting bonded by their roots towards their native land. He also mentioned the ‘Rajasthan Ratna Award’ announced by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to recognize the contribution of NRR community in their respective areas of work. At an open session suggestions and queries made by NRRs were addressed by Arora and Ajmera.
Eminent Pravasi Rajasthanis such as Shankar Kejriwal suggested building a Rajasthan Bhavan dedicated to the Rajasthani community in Mumbai. Ashok Saraf and K.C. Jain emphasized continuous interaction with the state. Praveen Maheshwari, CFO, Hindalco Ltd., offered help for development under their Social Corporate Responsibility. Uttam Agarwal, Ex. Chairman, ICAI Regulatory Body, talked about his Rs 90 crore education project in Abu Road and stressed need to contribute in Rajasthan’s various sectors viz. Social, Education, Medical and Industry.
