Powergrid commissions 11 kV line, electrifies Aryan Valley

Powergrid has commissioned 11 kV transmission line from Lalung to Darchik under the rural electrification scheme namely PMDP (Prime Minister Development Programme). The line is used for electrification of Lalung, Silmoo, Batalik, Darchik, Hurdass, Sinikcey and Garkon villages. With the commissioning of this line, all remote villages in Aryan Valley (Kargil district) are now connected to the National Grid through 220 kV Srinagar-Leh Transmission System.

Sterling Gtake E-mobility Ltd, an NCR-based motor control unit (MCU) manufacturer for electric vehicles, has secured a Rs 600 million order from a leading 2W EV original equipment manufacturer. Anil Aggarwal, MD, Sterling Tools Ltd., said by the end of the current fiscal, he expects EV components to contribute over 10% to the company’s revenue.

Punjab amp; Sind Bank posts Rs174-crore profit in Q1

Punjab amp; Sind Bank has reported a net profit of Rs 174 crore for the first quarter ended June 30. Total income during Q1FY22 rose to Rs 2,039.61 crore from Rs 1,954.39 crore in Q1FY21, the bank said in a regulatory filing.
