Porto beat Nacional 2-0 in Portuguese league

Lisbon, Nov 2: FC Porto beat Nacional 2-0 in the ninth round of the Portuguese football league at the Estadio de Dragao.

Danilo scored in the ninth minute with a determined effort that went between Rui Silva's legs while Yacine Brahimi scored in the 74th with a powerful shot to the far post Saturday night, reports Xinhua.

Porto started well and dominated the match in the early minutes but went rapidly downhill after the first goal. They did manage to hold and on and added another to add gloss to the scoreline.

Three consecutive victories this season takes them to second place in the Portuguese league with 21 points, one point behind league leaguers Benfica, while Nacional are in 12th with eight points.
