P V Sindhu, Lakshya Sen in last-4 of Tour BWF World Tour finals

Double Olympics medallist PV Sindhu today joined Lakshya Sen in the knockout stage of the BWF World Tour Finals, while Kidambi Srikanth’s fate hung in balance after a defeat in his second group match here.

Sindhu outplayed Yvonne Li 21-10 21-13 to make it two wins in two games in Group A. Lakshya lost 15-21 14-21 to Viktor Axelsen. He was guaranteed a place in the last-4 after Group A’s Kento Momota and Rasmus Gemke pulled out due to injuries.

Srikanth lost 18-21 7-21 to Kunlavut Vitidsarn in Group B. Meanwhile, the men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty pulled out of the tournament after the former complained of knee pain. — PTI
