HI INDIA NEWS DESK
COLUMBUS, OH- Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine recently made an announcement regarding the future installation of 27 new electric vehicle charging stations along Ohio interstates. This initiative marks Ohio as the first state in the nation to reveal the charging station sites that will be developed under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program.

The plan entails the addition of 27 fast-charging stations approximately every 50 miles along three major interstates: Interstate 71, Interstate 74, and Interstate 75. These stations will be strategically located near gas stations, stores, and restaurants, and will be operational 24 hours a day. It is anticipated that the new charging infrastructure will be operational by the following year.

Governor DeWine expressed his enthusiasm for Ohio’s position as a leader in electric mobility, stating, “This is an exciting time for Ohio as we continue to lead the charge in electric mobility.” He further emphasized that the statewide network of chargers will facilitate the accommodation of EV drivers in Ohio, as well as visitors who come to explore the attractions offered by the state.
