No mutiny against coach Mourinho: Chelsea midfielder Ramires

London, Oct 27: Chelsea midfielder Ramires has denied suggestions of any "mutiny" against under pressure head coach Jose Mourinho, whose side is lying at the 15th spot of the English Premier League (EPL).

Mourinho faced claims earlier this month that he was losing control at Chelsea after it was reported that an unflattering nickname was being used to refer to the manager by some of his first-team footballers.

And his position is now under fresh scrutiny after Saturday's 1-2 defeat against West Ham United, during which he was sent to the stands by referee Jonathan Moss.

Ramires, however, has backed Mourinho and insisted that the team is giving everything it can to end the poor run of form.

"There is no mutiny against Mourinho. If you take our last games you will see how everyone is running relentlessly, putting their lives on the line on the pitch, as we say," Ramires was quoted as saying by dailymail.co.uk on Tuesday.

"Whenever we're under bad form, it's only natural that negative speculations will arise, but the whole group isn't paying attention to the outside and we're focused on doing what Mourinho asks us to do and, consequently, help Chelsea to get back on the winning tracks," the Brazil international added.

He said this team is no different to the one that won the EPL title last season and urged his players to keep fighting.

"It's hard to find a logical explanation as the group remains the same from last season, but the important thing is that we've been working to turn things around," Ramires, who has played 52 games for Brazil after his debut in 2009, insisted.

"We know we have a great team and we are fighting on the pitch to get Chelsea back to the stability we need to fight for the top of the table, which is what should happen every time," he added.

Mourinho faces a crucial period as Chelsea manager after being hit with another misconduct charge by the Football Association. The 52-year-old has until Thursday 6 p.m. to respond to the charge, which relates to his half-time dismissal on Saturday.

Mourinho is already appealing against a £50,000 fine and suspended one-match stadium ban for comments made about referee Robert Madley following the Southampton defeat.
