NBA: Clippers beat Lakers

Los Angeles, Feb 15: Los Angeles Clippers did an almost perfect job on the Valentine’s night, as they started with a 15-0 run and dominated the Lakers all the way to the end for a 125-101 victory, making it three wins in a row over the city rivals this season.

The Clippers shot 51.7 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from three-point range (16 of 30), while the Lakers shot 50.7 percent from the field but couldn’t defend Clippers’ three-point shots, Xinhua reports.

Clippers’ forward Blake Griffin shot 5 of 5 at the beginning and got 18 points in the first quarter, finishing with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Chris Paul led the Clippers with 24 points and 13 assists. Chauncey Billups added 21 points, and DeAndre Jordan had 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 20 points and 11 assists. Howard contributed 18 points and 8 rebounds, Jamison had 17 points, and Meeks added 13 points for the Lakers.
