Modi pays tribute to yoga guru B.K.S. Iyengar

 New Delhi, Dec 14 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid tribute to globally renowned yoga guru B.K.S. Iyengar on his birth anniversary.

"My tributes to B.K.S. Iyengar on his birth anniversary. His contribution in taking yoga across the world is monumental," he said in a tweet.

Iyengar, who founded the ‘Iyengar Yoga’, was born Dec 14, 1918 in Bellur in Karnataka. He died Aug 20, 2014 in Pune.
