Manchu Vishnu accuses Prakash Raj of dividing Telugu film industry

BUY-SELL | HELP WANTED | MATRIMONIAL

Hyderabad: Actor Manchu Vishnu on Tuesday said his opponent Prakash Raj was shedding crocodile tears before the media for an issue that has no relevance.
“Whatever the sum I paid towards the paper ballot on behalf of senior actors and members of the Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA), was a nominal one.

What’s wrong in seeking votes five days before the elections. I personally reached out after the Election Commission messaged us stating Rs 500 towards paper ballot should be paid by each individual. Those who have applied for the paper ballot have called me personally for assistance. For artistes who are out stationed and are unable to appear in Hyderabad, we have paid the amount on behalf of them. This is nothing but a serious plot that Prakash Raj is trying to divide Telugu film industry,” said Vishnu in an angry tone.

He added,  “it’s an issue that Prakash Raj could have settled there and then before the election officer. Why to make such a hue and cry, shedding crocodile tears before the camera early in the morning,” asked Vishnu.

Charging Prakash Raj for bringing negativity and all his political agendas into the Movie Artistes’ (MAA) association that usually run in a peaceful environment, Manchu Vishnu warned Prakash Raj panel members not take his father Mohan Babu’s name every time while addressing media.

“We are going to see each other, work with each other after October 10, after the polling date. I would lose respect for Prakash Raj garu if he makes any further comment against my father, my family and or any other panel members in MAA,” he warned.

Cornering Prakash Raj further with words, Vishnu said Prakash had a bad reputation in several other movie industries in Tamil Nanid and Karnataka.

“Prakash Raj has troubled Nadigar Sangam, the South Indian Artistes’ Association (SIAA) in Chennai. Ask any Kannada actor about him, about his behaviour and attitude.

He should have some respect for seniors in the movie industry. It’s our culture to respect our elders. It would’ve been a different ball game, had actor Srihari been alive. Prakash Raj and his panel are worried about my victory. I appealed to the election officer to place a paper ballot system because if I win the elections, Prakash Raj would anyway accuse me of tampering with EVMS. So it’s better to place paper ballots and it would be easy to count the votes,” Vishnu said.
