Majority of Americans See Illegal Immigration as Genuine Crisis, Not Just Media Hype: Axios Survey Reveals

WASHINGTON, DC- A recent poll revealed that almost two-thirds of Americans perceive illegal immigration as an authentic crisis rather than a media construct. The Axios survey, conducted by The Harris Poll, disclosed that 51% of respondents would endorse mass deportations of undocumented immigrants, including 42% of Democrats, 46% of independents, and 68% of Republicans. As illegal immigration remains a pivotal concern leading up to the impending election, blame for the border situation largely falls on the Biden administration, with 32% of those surveyed deeming it “most responsible.”

Since President Biden’s inauguration, approximately 7.3 million migrants have unlawfully crossed the southwest border, surpassing the population of 36 individual states. This surge underscores a widespread call for action, with Chairman of The Harris Poll, Mark Penn, emphasizing that politicians, particularly Biden, should heed the public’s demand for control.
