Bengaluru, Aug 14: Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) XI, after getting bundled out for 184 runs, hit back to have Dr. DY Patil Academy on the ropes at 64 for four at stumps on the first day of the four-day final in the KSCA All-India cricket tournament, here on Friday.

On a day when the bowlers called the shots, KSCA XI, batting first, fared rather poorly as spinners Swapnil Singh (3 for 63) and Iqbal Abdullah (4 for 42) sliced through their line-up.

However, the Mumbai side fared no better in their reply, losing early wickets to find themselves in a spot and leave the match evenly poised.

Brief scores:

KSCA XI: 184 all out in 73.5 overs (J Suchith 30, Swapnil Singh 3-63, Iqbal Abdullah 4-42) vs Dr. DY Patil Academy: 64 for 4 in 20 overs.
