Karimnagar: Gangula inspects Ganesh immersion points

Karimnagar: Elaborate arrangements have been made for the immersion of Ganesh idols to be held in Karimnagar on Sunday.

People, who had stayed away from the Ganesh festival last year in the wake of Covid pandemic, have installed idols in a big way. And the district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the event.

Three points Manakondur tanks, Kothapalli tank and Chinthakunta canal have been identified for the immersion belonging to Karimnagar town and barricades and lighting arrangements were also made for the convenience of the devotees.

Two big as well as a small crane were deployed at each immersion point to drop the idol into waters. Beside cranes, professional swimmers were also deployed to avoid any untoward incident.

BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar along with Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao visited Manakondur tank, Kothapalli tank and Chinthakunta canal and examined arrangements for the immersion.
