Karimnagar: Car rams into another vehicle at Gundlapalli stage

Karimnagar: Passengers of two cars had a muracylous escape when a speeding truck rammed into one of them, making it slide underneath another car on Rajiv Rahadari at Gundlapalli stage of Ganneruvaram mandal on Sunday.

Though it was a major accident, none was hurt in the incident. Six persons including two children traveling in two cars survived without any injuries.

According to police, a native of Hyderabad, Kolla Surender along with his family members was going to Vemulawada to have a darshan of Rajarajeshwaraswamy.

In another vehicle, Veeravenkata Satyanarayana was following Surender’s vehicle as the former was moving towards Karimnagar.

Surneder reduced the speed of his vehicle as a trolley autorikshaw was crossing the road at Gundlapalli stage. Veeravenkata Satyanarayana also reduced the speed of his vehicle.

Meanwhile, a lorry proceeding to Karimnagar from Hyderabad hit the cars from behind. As a result, Veeravenkata Satyanarayana’s car rammed into the car moving in front of it.

Sunders’s family members as well as Veeravenkata Satyanaryana and his driver survived without any injuries.

Lorry driver escaped from the spot after the incident. Police registered the case and began an investigation into the accident.
