ROLLING MEADOWS, IL – The Kadva Patidar Samaj (KPS) of Chicago organized a picnic at the New Brown Meadow Busse Forest Northwest Division in Rolling Meadows IL.

Over 750 members, friends, and well-wishers participated in the fun.

The joyful KPS members enjoyed eating—to their heart’s content– corn, water melon, gota with chutni and, of course, Indian tea. At the lunch time, the menu was mouth-watering–chhole and puri. The Patidars also played games like volleyball and gunnybag race.

KPS organizers did Umiya mataji Rath Padhramni and all devotees played garba.

Interestingly, 70-year-old Magandas Patel, popular among KPS members, had lost his voice after brain haemorrhage a few years ago and is unable to walk but his wife Jaya and his brother Bechar Patel had brought an entire bed to enable Magandas to witness the revelry.

At the end of the picnic, all participants had a delicious dinner which also made the outing memorable.
