Indian cricketer and one of the best Test players in the Indian cricket team at the moment, Rishabh Pant was tested positive with the COVID-19 virus approximately a week ago and remains asymptomatic. The news broke out on the day the team was supposed to reunite in London, ahead of resuming practice for the upcoming Test series against the hosting England squad.

It is being reported that the wicket-keeper batsman may have contracted the virus while attending the EURO 2020 match between England and Germany at the Wembley Stadium on June 30. Images of him getting pictures clicked in the middle of thousands of fans without even wearing a mask, went viral since that day and fans had warmed the southpaw about the importance of wearing a mask.

While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had allowed the Indian cricket team a 20-day break between the World Test Championship final against New Zealand and the five-match Test series against England, new reports suggest that they had recommended the cricketers to no go to popular events such as EURO 2020 games or the Wimbledon.

Nonetheless, what’s done is done and former Indian wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik feels the squad should move forward… with him.

In a cheeky and hilarious post shared by DK on Twitter, a picture of his nicely packed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) kit bag with the wicket-keeping gloves on top can be seen with the caption simply reading “Just Saying”.

Obviously the Karthik says it in a joking mood and his fans respond to it with some hilarious replies:

A good wicketkeeper is always at the right place, at the right time and in the right position. https://t.co/KqbB84LTEk

Karthik has been in England for over a month now, as he settles in his brand new job as that of a commentator. From debuting behind the microphone during the final match of the WTC to lending his voice for the England and Sri Lanka series, DK has been successful in impressing (and annoying) a lot of cricket fans from all over the world.

Additionally, Pant has almost 20 days to recover from the virus and rejoin the team in time to get himself a couple of practice sessions and get himself prepared for the challenge that is to face England on English soil.
