JNU missing student’s case transferred to Crime Branch

New Delhi, Nov 12 (IANS) Delhi Police has transferred the case of the missing Jawaharlal Nehru University student Najeeb Ahmed to its Crime Branch, an official said on Saturday.

"We have transferred the Najeeb Ahmed case to the Crime Branch on Friday evening for further investigation," Joint Commissioner of Police (Southeastern Range) R.P. Upadhyay told IANS.

Ahmed, 27, a first year M.Sc. student, went missing from the JNU hostel on October 15, allegedly after an altercation with the members of RSS-backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.
