The Lok Sabha member from Kadapa, who was released from jail on conditional bail Tuesday, filed a petition seeking permission to visit Idupulapaya in Kadapa district Oct 1-2, and to tour Guntur on Oct 4.

Jagan, as the MP is popularly known, plans to visit the grave of his father and late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy at Idupulapaya. He is also likely to address a public meeting at Pulivendula to start his campaign in Seemandhra, as the composite Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra regions are known, against the Congress party's decision to bifurcate the state.

He also plans to address another public meeting at Guntur in support of the ongoing movement in Seemandhra.

After spending nearly 16 months in jail in a case of acquiring assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, the young leader walked out of jail Tuesday. The CBI court, which granted him conditional bail, has directed him not to leave Hyderabad without the court's permission.

Meanwhile, the court adjourned to Oct 3 hearing on the bail petitions of businessman Nimmagadda Prasad and bureaucrat K.V. Brahmananda Reddy, both accused in the same case of Jagan's disproportionate assets.

The court adjourned the hearing after the CBI sought more time to file counters to their bail pleas.

Jagan's financial advisory Vijay Sai Reddy has also filed the bail petition.
