Deep Alpeshkumar Patel, 21, Now Faces Up to Five Years in Federal Prison for Voicemail Threat to Jewish Organization

SARASOTA, FL- An Indian American man from Sarasota pleaded guilty to transmitting an interstate threat to injure by leaving a threatening voicemail at a Jewish organization in New York City.
The name of the person is Deep Alpesh Kumar Patel. He is 21-years of age and he now faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison, A sentencing date has not yet been set.
On Oct 21, 2023, Patel made a threatening voicemail to the Jewish organization in New York. He identified himself by name and screamed numerous expletives.
He said on the phone: “If I had a chance, I would kill every single one of you Israelis. Every single one of you! Cause mass genocide of every single Israeli.”
Patel also called a synagogue in Temple Terrace, Florida the same day, and had left another threatening voicemail, he himself admitted.
The charge carries a maximum sentence of five years’ imprisonment along with a fine of $250,000.
