Indian American Inventor of Email Applies for Twitter CEO Post

CAMBRIDGE, MS- This has to be one of the most interesting job applications in a long time. Indian-American VA Shiva Ayyadurai, popularly known as the inventor of e-mail, took to Twitter to write to Elon Musk about his candidacy as the Twitter CEO.

Mumbai-born Ayyadurai, holds four degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), including a PhD in biological engineering.

In a tweet addressed to Elon Musk, he wrote, “I am interested in the CEO position @Twitter. I have 4 degrees from MIT & have created 7 successful high-tech software companies. Kindly advise of the process to apply.”

Back in 1978, when Ayyadurai was just 14-year-old, he created a computer programme, which he called “email.

The US government awarded him the first Copyright for Email in 1982, recognizing him officially as the inventor of email.
