CHICAGO, IL -Indian American Business Council [IABC] – a non-profit registered organization based in Chicago USA – marshaled its resources through community partnership and acquired a stockpile of oxygen concentrator units, converters, surgical gowns, masks, digital thermometers, oximeters, and hand sanitizers and promptly dispatched them to India with the mission to save lives by delivering the indispensable life-saving medical equipment. After the first shipment was dispatched, this second shipment of these crucial medical equipment/supplies are being sent out for strategic distribution to vulnerable regions of India.

India facing catastrophic second wave with its new more lethal variant and the crying need for the oxygen supplies looming large, the Indian American Business Council intensified its efforts to acquire life-preserving medical equipment, more importantly, oxygen concentrator units from every potential vendor and manufacturer and hastened the dispatch to India to help in this momentous battle of saving lives from raging Covid. The demand for oxygen supplies and medical equipment are exponentially growing by the day and with India gearing up on a war footing to ramp up oxygen production, Indian American Business Council is working to complement the efforts of the government and other NRI organizations to ship supplies in its collective fight against the pandemic.

Keerthi Kumar Ravoori, IABC President said we are making this spirited effort of sending the life-saving medical equipment and other accessories to India as we are overwhelmed to see the lives being snubbed out by the evolving lethal variant. Therefore, the compelling imperative of oxygen supplies are critical at this time to wage a battle against this most deadly variant that is devastating lives. IABC is committed to play its part in alleviating the suffering of the families afflicted by this dreadful contagion, added Keerthi Kumar Ravoori.

Ajeet Singh, IABC Chairman who is spearheading this crucial humanitarian mission said I have seen firsthand the unimaginable suffering of afflicted patients loosing lives due to lack of oxygen in hospitals that are running perilously low and supplies dwindling at a pace unseen; It is based on this compelling exigency, we at Indian American Business Council quickly initiated this decisive plan to mobilize oxygen concentrators and other lifesaving medical supplies. Ajeet Singh, IABC Chairman said the first consignment shipped out early in May has helped a great deal in saving lives in the areas more affected by Covid. Ajeet Sing added IABC shall not stop until we join India in its fight to eradicate the scourge of Covid.

Harish Kolasani Founder of The India Hub & Co-Founder IABC has joined the IABC’s quest to shore up additional medical equipment and is actively fostering partnerships with hospitals to send additional equipment to India.

This humanitarian initiative has been guided under the leadership of Ajeet Singh & Keerthi Kumar Ravoori the principal officers of Indian American Business Council along with Nick Verma & Satish Dadepogu. Our next step is to work with the office of the U.S. Congressmen to facilitate granting and release of medical equipment/supplies in the fight against lethal contagion.
