I’m 7 Months Pregnant—These Are the Chic Swimsuits Seeing Me Through Summer

BUY-SELL | HELP WANTED | MATRIMONIAL

I’m currently 31 weeks pregnant, and it’s 85º out. In other words, I’m considerably hot and uncomfortable at this stage of the game! But being pregnant throughout summer is definitely not all that bad. I get away with wearing super-lightweight and breezy dresses most days, and I don’t have a ton of bulky layers weighing me down. Moreover, since the most comfortable place I want to be in right now is water (much easier on my lower back and joints), I’m spending a lot more time in the pool or at the beach most weekends, which means I’m living in comfy swimsuits whenever I get the chance.

In fact, this summer, I’ve been trying, testing, and collecting quite the comfy (and chic!) swimwear collection that is ideal for adjusting to my growing baby bump. Most are maternity swimsuits (that are catered to growing bellies), but I also have a number of non-maternity bikinis and one-pieces that are versatile and stretchy enough to wear throughout pregnancy and beyond.

Below, I wanted to share the chic swimsuits that have been seeing me through my pregnancy this summer. They’re not only super comfortable but they’re stylish, too, so I can still feel good in my own skin while navigating through this magical (and arduous) last few months of pregnancy. And if you too are pregnant through this heat, I’m sending a never-ending abundance of cool air your way!

Cache Coeur is one of my favorite new finds for maternity swimwear. The French brand does amazing, quality pieces that make you look and feel comfortable, chic, and confident. While I wasn’t quite sure how a cutout one-piece would look on me while pregnant, I’m so glad I went for it, as it’s super flattering and feels so chic. My other favorite from the brand is this bold and vibrant floral-print one-piece (below). The neckline and straps look so good, and I get a ton of compliments when I wear it. Moreover, both suits are supportive and super comfortable.

I’ve been a big fan of fashion set–favorite brand Hunza G even when I wasn’t pregnant, but its one-size-fits-all stretchy seersucker bikinis and swimsuits are particularly great when you’re expecting, as they comfortably fit around any bump size. While I love its neutral one-pieces, this bubblegum-pink bikini has been bringing me much joy this season.

Barcelona-based brand Pez d’Or is a new favorite of mine for timeless, stylish, and flattering swimwear that fits beautifully. Its swimsuits are such great quality and grow with your baby bump. I love this pretty check one-piece and the cool halterneck bikini below, which is ideal for wearing from the beginning of your pregnancy right until the end. (Bonus: They’re available to shop at Nordstrom.)

This Holiday the Label one-piece is not a maternity suit, but I loved the print, color, and silhouette, so I gambled that it would fit—which it did perfectly. It’s super fun and on-trend, but I’d recommend it for the earlier stages of pregnancy.

For an affordable and trendy pick, you can’t go wrong with this classic black ASOS maternity swimsuit. The ruched tie-front is super on-trend right now, and the sleek spaghetti straps give it a minimalist ’90s vibe.

I’ve spotted Juillet swimsuits on a few of my fellow editors and was thrilled to see the brand has a number of maternity-friendly styles that I can wear throughout my pregnancy and beyond. This eyelet bikini makes me feel angelic, and the elasticized ruffle hem allows for stretch as my body grows.

This charming and cute seersucker gingham bikini from Hatch has such lovely quality and is perfect for summer. It comes with an adjustable halter silhouette and a full-coverage cup with super-comfortable matching low-rise bikini bottoms. You can’t go wrong.

A Pea in the Pod has a nice selection of supportive maternity swimwear, which I’m finding particularly good at this later stage of pregnancy as they have plenty of give. This ruffled V-neck one-piece is pretty and easy to wear. Plus, the black lace-up detail at the back adds a chic touch.

I’m in love with the cool retro print of this bikini. While this one is not a maternity suit, the drawstring gathered bikini top provides shape and coverage. The drawstring bottoms are definitely on the skimpier side, but it’s nice that they can adjust to your hip size.

Shop the matching Liza Bottom ($80).

I love a cool floral print, and this reversible one-piece was too hard to resist. While it’s not a maternity suit, it does work in the early stages of pregnancy, especially if you’re looking for something alluring and chic to wear poolside. It’s worth noting that the brand is sustainable, and its pieces are handmade by Peruvian artisans.

Up next, seven effortless maternity looks I’m stealing from fashionable French girls.
