New Delhi, Nov 11: The Magpie Sports Group (MSG), will hold trials to select players for the upcoming Indian Champions League (ICL) in the capital on Sunday.

The ICL, to be organised on the lines of the Masters Champions League (MCL), will be a  franchisee based Twenty20 cricket tournament slated to be held in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament is being organised by the Magpie Sports Group.

"We want to select players from the Ranji Trophy, first class and U-19 levels. Any  player can come and give trial and try his luck," Magpie Sports Group Director Manish Kumar Choudhary told IANS.

"Once players are selected for all the teams, all the ICL matches will be  played in Dubai," he added.

"The trials will be held at the Parmarth Ground, Bhagwan Mahaveer Hospital Road in Pitampura."

Each ICL team will include four national level players. The tournament format will comprise a total of 52 matches, including the two semi-finals and the final, with eight franchises playing six matches each in the league stage.
