Hyderabad: Tributes paid to CDS Bipin Rawat, others

Hyderabad: The tragic loss of Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, and 11 other personnel of the armed forces in the Tamil Nadu chopper crash has come as a shock to the entire nation. Paying their last tribute to the brave hearts, the residents of Lodha Casa Paradiso Apartments in Sanathnagar organised a candle rally, on Saturday evening.

The event, which was organised by the society’s association, saw a huge participation of about 500 young kids, who came along with their parents and grandparents to express their condolences to the families. “This is a huge loss to the nation,” said Sathish Kumar J, a resident and management committee member of Lodha Casa Paradiso Apartments. “Through this event we wanted to pay our respects to those who passed away. Also we wanted to inculcate a sense of patriotism in the children and make them aware of the severity of this loss,” he said.
