Heading: NJ Transit official faces jail term for taking $8,000 bribe

Donna Schiereck (56) of Jackson had allegedly agreed to help a Lakewood company secure a transit station snow removal contract for the handsome pay-off and also a powerwashing of her house.

Schiereck, who was hired in 1980, had helped the Lakewood firm bag the snow removal contract at the Trenton Transit Center.

After being trapped by a federal informant, the Newark federal court earlier this 
week set her bail at $10,000 and released her.

She retired from her position as a manager of station terminals last week.
