Harry Potter Stars Getting Nostalgic About Snape In ‘Return To Hogwarts’ Has Fans’ Approval

Alan Rickman’s Snape from the Harry Potter Universe is perhaps one of the most nuanced, and perhaps one of the best-written characters. And no, that’s not just a statement from a random fan, even the stars of Harry Potter tend to believe so.

The ‘Return To Hogwarts’ reunion show celebrated 20 years since the first film was released in a reunion show of sorts. The star cast of the movies shared some tidbits from their time working on the films, and how it changed their lives forever.

One thing that everybody did was reminisce about Alan Rickman’s rendition of Severus Snape.

Daniel Radcliffe & Gary Oldman, who played Sirius Black, in particular, went into a segment where they discussed Rickman in some great detail. Radcliffe said that he believed that the reason why Rickman was so convincing as a villain was that he knew the redeeming character arc that Snape would eventually have, and knew just how important it would have been for Snape to come across as the cold and distant Snape.

What really stood out about the show was the ending. Severus Snape’s iconic scene with Dumbledore, the “Always” scene is one of the most powerful scenes front the Harry Potter Universe. The fact that the reunion show ended with that scene, sent fans into a frenzy.

Without a doubt, Alan Rickman, with his untimely death in 2016, has left a massive void. No wonder that his fans remember him with such fond memories.
