‘Gunday’ earns Rs 14 crore on V-DAY

Mumbai, Feb 15: Yash Raj film’s much-awaited film ‘Gunday’ did well at the box office and collected around Rs 14 crores on day 1, according to the reports.

Despite being a non-holiday release, Valentine’s Day boosted the opening day business of the film. Written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, ‘Gunday’ highlights the story of two friends Bikram (Ranveer Singh) and Bala (Arjun Kapoor) who are based in Kolkata in the 70s. A journey that starts by stealing coal from a train eventually makes them the biggest coal mafia in Kolkata.

The film , however, received mixed reactions from the audience, but they appreciated the on-screen chemistry of Ranveer and Arjun Kapoor.

The film also stars Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan in the lead roles. (Bollywood Country Report)
