Expect heavy rain in Punjab, Haryana from July 17, says IMD

New Delhi, July 15

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) today predicted enhanced rainfall activity over plains of the northwest, including Punjab and Haryana, between July 17 and 19.

It said fairly widespread to widespread rainfall “is likely to continue over HP and Uttarakhand with isolated heavy rainfall till July 16, increasing to isolated heavy to very heavy rain on July 17 and 18”. — TNS
