England v India: Preview and team news

Both teams had their moments in the first Test, which ended in a draw after the fifth day was rained out. For India, Shardul Thakur has been ruled out after injuring his hamstring. The team now has the option of bringing in R Ashwin, or replacing Thakur with another seamer.

For England, Stuart Broad is likely to be out of contention for the second Test, with James Anderson, too, in doubt. Saqib Mahmood has been added to the squad, while Dom Bess has been released to return to Yorkshire.

The complete squads for the series can be found here.

England v India Lord’s Test: Dream 11 fantasy tips and pointers

Ajinkya Rahane has been in dire need of runs, and could change that in the Lord’s Test. At the same venue, he scored a century during the 2014 tour.
While there’s no clarity over his fitness status this time, Ishant Sharma has a fine record at Lord’s, having claimed a seven-wicket haul during their historic win in 2014.
Having scored a fine century in the first Test, an in-form Joe Root would be expected to go big at Lord’s too. He has a fine record at the venue, averaging 47.07 with three hundreds and a best of 200*.
For wicketkeepers, choosing Rishabh Pant over Jos Buttler, who is struggling for form, with only one fifty in seven Test innings this year. So far, Jasprit Bumrah has dismissed Buttler three times, and could be a cause of concern this time as well.
